About Designer Fund
The mission of Designer Fund is to help designers create businesses with meaningful impact. Currently we offer two complementary services for designers. One is investing between $100K – $1MM in tech companies co-founded by designers and design thinking CEOs, such as Stripe, Zenpayroll, Altschool, and Omada Health. With every investment, our goal is to help create better designed products and services in the world, especially in markets that traditionally lack design innovation like finance, education and health.
Our second service is Bridge, a professional development program that connects experienced designers with top startups and our community in San Francisco. Through weekly workshops, dinners, talks and monthly outings, we share best practices across our portfolio and partner companies like Dropbox, Airbnb and Pinterest. Our goal is to help Bridge designers develop lasting relationships and to accelerate their growth as great designers and leaders.
At the core of everything we do is a community of exceptional designers impacting the lives of millions of people around the world. We want our knowledge to benefit the broader design community—which is why we’re looking for more effective ways to share our insights beyond the walls of our studio.
Over the past few years we’ve produced a wide range of content for designers, including tips, interviews, ebooks, travel guides, streaming video/audio, and events. But we need your strategic help to improve how we communicate our services to different audiences of designers.
If you love design, education, and entrepreneurship, this is an unprecedented opportunity to create valuable and unique content for the startup design community. With our well respected brand, thousands of social media and email subscribers, and a community of 100+ members who can contribute expertise, we have the platform to reach designers all over the world. But we need your help leading new investment and Bridge related content initiatives.
Ideally you have content strategy experience including being an editorial lead, producing content guidelines and briefs, writing, managing a team of contributors, distributing and measuring the impact of content, and developing event-based content. You should be familiar with tech startups, product design, venture capital and bonus if you have experience writing in these industries. You’ll have ownership to be both the start of an editorial team and also pitch in to write wherever and whenever help is needed.
