Women in Design: Creative Confidence
We’re thrilled to announce our fourth Women in Design event on Thursday, August 20th in San Francisco in collaboration with Dropbox and our Bridge program. We’ll be focusing on the theme of creative confidence through honest conversations about what it takes to lead as a designer. We’ll serve dinner, share tips about building creative confidence, and have candid Q&A featuring design leaders from Asana, Dropbox, IDEO, and Wealthfront.
David Kelley, founder of leading design firm IDEO and Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford, coined the term creative confidence – an attitude that is experimental, embraces mistakes, and focuses on small iterative successes. A person with creative confidence is unafraid to break rules and able to act immediately to tackle an obstacle, motivated by the belief that she/he has a reasonable hope of success.
In this event, we’ll gather stories of how women design leads gained creative confidence and specific tips on how to boost it. We’ll also talk about the real challenges they face, internal and external, as women in design today.
Join us for this event with leaders from Asana, Dropbox, IDEO, and Wealthfront on Thursday, August 20th in San Francisco. Request an invite by August 6th here.
